Atypical Arts Concert

Balthrop, Alabama and Valerie June have both played Jacksonville once before and anyone who saw their shows will testify to how special both artists are. Atypical Arts Presents is really excited about bringing them back and to present them together for what will most certainly be a night filled with cool music performed by artists that matter.
We’ll have a table out front for Movember to get registrations and donations! So bring your friends and enjoy some great music together, because as a good friend of ours likes to say — we’re not having a show we’re having a share!

Start Movember 2011 off right with a Movembrew Tapping party! Intuition Ale Works will be unveiling their new special brew inspired by Austrailia where Movember started. We’ll have crafts so our Mo Sistas can make their mustaches to wear this Movember and electric shavers to help our Mo Bros get in the Movember mood. So come out and celebrate the start of another great Movember season with us!
Plus, Intuition Ale Works will be donating a portion of the proceeds from ALL Movembrew sold throughout the month of November, so drink up & help us change the face of men’s health!

UF Proton Therapy Institute Tour & Lunch

Join us for an exclusive look inside the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute! The Institute is the only facility in the State of Florida to offer proton therapy, an advanced medical technology. More than 70 men are treated for prostate cancer everyday at the UF Proton Therapy Institute.
We’ll start with a tour of the $125 million facility at 11 a.m. The tour will give you an understanding of cancer and the role proton therapy plays in the management of this disease. Immediately following the tour, a FREE luncheon will be provided for all that can attend. Patients undergoing treatments will be on hand to talk about their personal battles against cancer. The luncheon will conclude promptly at 1 p.m.
